Antonov AN-28 performance specifications provide the following capabilities:
- short take-off and landing on unpaved and remote airfields;
- air transportation 17 passengers or up to 1750 kg of cargo;
- patrolling, surveillance/monitoring, search and rescue operations;
- parachutists’ airdrop.
